Terminal Installation Process
To get started with your new terminal(s), you'll need to install them onto your wash bays accordingly.
Assembly Guide
What's in the Box?
- Smart Wash Terminal Kiosk Terminal with Power & Pulse cable fitted and SIM installed
- M3 Stainless Steel Thumbscrews (2)


- Terminal cover film & screen protector, which have been pre-fitted to your terminal
Ensure that the screen protector & cover film have been applied correctly
The terminal comes pre-fitted with a screen protector and cover film, which are core product components. If you notice that either of these haven't been applied or require a replacement, please contact support. If you've received a new screen protector, please follow the steps outlined below.
Upgrading from CT400 to Smart Wash Terminal on iWash or iVac


Tools Required:
Ph1 Phillips Head Screwdriver
Install Process
- Power down the machine
- Unplug the existing Comms cable in the machine from the back of the CT400 Terminal
- Unscrew both thumbscrews holding the CT400 and discard. New Thumbscrews are supplied
- Lift off the CT400 Terminal from the machine door and set aside for return to Prowash
- Fit the Smart Wash Terminal to the machine:
- From the outside of the machine door, feed the Adaptor cable box through the existing large hole in the machine door
- Place the Smart Wash Terminal onto the outside of the machine door
- From the back of the door, Screw in new 2x M3 thumbscrews into the Smart Wash Terminal
- Plug the existing Comms cable into the new Adaptor cable box (follow colour code indicators on the Cable box for correct orientation of the Comms cable)
- Mount the Adaptor cable box inside the machine in a dry location (use the hanging hole or Velcro patch supplied)
- Ensure the cables exiting the Adaptor cable box hang downwards to prevent any moisture inside machine running into Adaptor cable box
- Route the cable exiting the Smart Wash Terminal into the cable slot so cable points down
- Power up the machine and test the machine operation
Upgrading from CT400 to Smart Wash Terminal on ANZTEC (Model: QW5956)

Tools Required:
- Ph1 Phillips Head Screwdriver
Install Process
- Power down the machine
- Remove the Note acceptor and set aside for later use
- Unplug the existing Comms cable in the machine from the back of the CT400 Terminal
- Unscrew both screws holding the CT400 and set aside for later use
- Lift off the CT400 Terminal from the machine door and set aside for return to Prowash
- Fit the Smart Wash Terminal to the machine:
- From the outside of the machine door, feed the Adaptor cable box through the existing large hole in the machine door
- Place the Smart Wash Terminal onto the outside of the machine door
- From the back of the door, screw in 2x screws that were set aside earlier into the Smart Wash Terminal
- Plug the existing Comms cable into the new Adaptor cable box (follow colour code indicators on the Cable box for correct orientation of the Comms cable)
- Mount the Adaptor cable box inside the machine in a dry location (use the hanging hole or Velcro patch supplied)
- Ensure the cables exiting the Adaptor cable box hang downwards to prevent any moisture inside machine running into Adaptor cable box
- Route the cable exiting the Smart Wash Terminal into the cable slot so cable points down
- Power up the machine and test the machine operation.

Upgrading from CT400 to Smart Wash Terminal on ANZTEC (Model: QW59600)

Tools Required:
- Ph1 Phillips Head Screwdriver
Install Process
- Power down the machine
- Unplug the existing Comms cable in the machine from the back of the CT400 Terminal
- Unscrew both thumbscrews holding the CT400 and discard. New Thumbscrews are supplied
- Lift off the CT400 Terminal from the machine door and set aside for return to Prowash
- Fit the Smart Wash Terminal to the machine:
- From the outside of the machine door, feed the Adaptor cable box through the existing large hole in the Smart Wash Terminal Metal Adaptor Plate
- From the outside, place Smart Wash Terminal onto the Adaptor Plate
- From the back of the door, screw in three M3 x 20 Screws using the plain washers and lock washers provided with the Metal Adaptor plate
- Plug the existing Comms cable into the new Adaptor cable box (follow colour code indicators on the Cable box for correct orientation of the Comms cable)
- Mount the Adaptor cable box inside the machine in a dry location (use the hanging hole or Velcro patch supplied)
- Ensure the cables exiting the Adaptor cable box hang downwards to prevent any moisture inside machine running into Adaptor cable box
- Route the cable exiting the Smart Wash Terminal into the cable slot so cable points down
- Power up the machine and test the machine operation
Applying a new Screen Protector or Cover Film
The Smart Wash terminal comes supplied with a screen protector that can enhance its durability against scratches and other elements. If you've received a new screen protector, please follow the steps below and then install the terminal cover film.

Screen Protector Installation Process
- Remove the plastic covering with the tab that displays Step 1
- Place the uncovered adhesive side face-down onto the screen of the terminal, push any air bubbles out with your fingers
- Remove the plastic covering with the tab that displays Step 2
Terminal Cover Film Installation Process
- Clean display glass and white plastic border using the wet wipe supplied. Let the terminal dry
- Wtth clean hands, fully peel off the film from the backing paper. Hold the film at the short ends
- Centralise the film within white plastic border and loosely place onto terminal. Ensure that the film doesn't overhand beyond the white plastic
- Place the edge of the film applicator card on the middle of the display and push the film down onto the glass. Life one end of the film up off the glass to the card edge, then slide the card across the display to lay down the first half of the film
- If a bubble occurs, place the card edge back on the middle of the display and pull the film back up to the card esge again and re-wipe film onto the glass
- For the remaining half of the film, place the card edge back in the middle of the display, list the loose end of the film up and slide the card across the film to lay down the second half
- Using the card, smooth out the film up to the edges of the glass only
- With your thumb, wipe the remaining file edges onto the white plastic. Whip from the glass outwards, starting from the middle of each side and work towards each of the four corners
- Use the cloth to fully press down film all over
See any imperfections?
Minor imperfections in the film should disappear over a few days.
Ensure that the film integrity is maintained
Periodically inspect the integrity of the film. If you see any damage or peeling, please contact support.
Commissioning Guide
Have your Installation Token Available
Please have your installation token available for the commissioning process. This is found in the provided terminal packaging or in the Cloud EFTPOS Web Portal. Learn how to export installation tokens here.

Wait for the terminal to download software -- there are various software components that will need to be downloaded, so it's likely that this process may take up to 15 minutes, dependent on your internet connection. The Cloud EFTPOS Web Portal details are shown below in the commission section; a screen will briefly appear, indicating that the download has been completed |

The screen will indicate that the terminal is up to date, along with the commission details, tap on Finish to complete the commissioning process. An automatic reboot may occur after firmware has been installed. When the terminal boots up, it will connect to the Cloud EFTPOS Web Portal and be ready to accept payments. Please configure the operational mode and tap amounts via the Cloud EFTPOS Web Portal. |
No Wi-Fi available onsite?
You can set-up a personal hotspot if no Wi-Fi networks are available onsite.
Exporting Installation Tokens from the Cloud EFTPOS Web Portal
While the installation token will be provided in the supplied terminal packaging, installation tokens can be viewed and downloaded via the Cloud EFTPOS Web Portal.
Viewing an Installation Token
Every terminal lane in the Cloud EFTPOS Web Portal has an installation token, required to complete the commissioning process.

Step 1: Log into the Cloud EFTPOS Web Portal. Step 2: Navigate to the Terminals section on the left menu. Step 3: Click on the terminal lane that you'd like to view. Step 4: Under the Terminal Details tab, there's a field for the installation token. This will be used for the terminal commissioning process. |
Exporting a Terminal List
As every terminal lane in the Cloud EFTPOS Web Portal has an installation token, you can export all lane data from your company, which includes the installation tokens.

Step 2: Click on Export Terminals and wait for the spreadsheet file to download. |

Step 3: The spreadsheet will contain basic details for each of your lanes, the InstallationToken and InstallationTokenUsed field. InstallationToken is the installation token that will be used during the commissioning process. InstallationTokenUsed is an indicator as to whether the installation token for that lane has been used to commission a terminal. |
Exporting Installation Tokens
If you specifically require a list of installation tokens for your lanes, you can use the Export Installation Tokens function on the Cloud EFTPOS Web Portal.

Operational Modes
A terminal can use either of these operational modes:
- Standalone - the terminal will connect directly to a wash bay. Transactions are started from the Smart Wash Terminal.
- Integrated - the terminal will connect to an ANZTEC machine. Transactions are started from the ANZTEC machine.
