Menu Navigation
The Dashboard menu can assist you in accessing configuration components of the terminal when required. To access the menu, press the ≡ symbol in the top left corner or press the button down for 3 seconds.
Please note that accessing the menu requires the Merchant Passcode.

Tap on the ≡ symbol to open the dashboard.

Dashboard Components
Menu Item | Explanation |
---|---|
Last Transaction | Displays the QR code receipt for the last transaction completed on the terminal. |
Host Log-on | Sends a message to the Acquirer (NAB), to determine that it can connect and to indicate that it can process transactions. The terminal will sporadically perform log-on attempts, so this typically isn't required unless otherwise instructed by support. |
App Switcher | This feature can be used (only when advised by Quest staff) to change the terminal application. |
Brightness Slider | Slide for screen brightness, up is brighter and down is darker. |
Sleep Button | Tapping this will turn the screen off. The terminal can be woken by pressing the button. Auto-sleep times can be set in Power Modes settings. |
Power Button | Tapping this will go into an interface with 2 sliders, Restart and Power Off. The user needs to slide these from the right to the left to activate them. |
About Section
This screen shows the serial number and firmware version of the device.
Menu Item | Explanation |
---|---|
Version Report | Shows a compilation of different software components of the terminal. Includes features such as the Acquirer (NAB) banking details, software versions, Cloud EFTPOS server, SIM details (if applicable) and more! |
Software Update | Tapping this will enter a screen where the user can check for updates. Tapping the Check for Updates button will check if there's pending configuration changes from the Cloud EFTPOS Web Portal and will download them accordingly. |
Software Updates
Terminals will automatically check and download changes to settings and firmware. The Software Update feature should be only used if configuration needs to be downloaded immediately.

Menu Item | Explanation |
---|---|
Communications | This menu allows the user to access network connectivity options (Wi-Fi and Cellular). |
Power Modes | This menu contains several preset power modes, on battery and on charge, that determines the actions that the device will do for power management. For example, the Low Power preset will go into sleep mode quicker than the Always On present. There's also customisable settings for when features activate on the terminal, such as screensavers and sleeping. Click here to view further details about this menu. |
Require Passcode to Switch Modes | An on/off toggle that determines whether the terminal will prompt for the Merchant Passcode when switching between standalone and integrated operational modes. |
Require Passcode to Switch Apps | An on/off toggle that determines whether the terminal will prompt for the Merchant Passcode when switching between terminal applications. For the Smart Wash terminal, this is set to the Wash POS. |
Print Merchant Receipt | Provides an option to view a merchant copy of a receipt. As there is no receipt printer on the Smart Wash terminal, physical printing to a paper receipt is not available. |
Print Receipts when Integrated | Provides an option to view a merchant copy of a receipt when set to the integrated operational mode. As there is no receipt printer on the Smart Wash terminal, physical printing to a paper receipt is not available. |
Cashout | An on/off toggle to enable the "Cashout" feature for transactions. This can only be used for cards with a CHQ or SAV account. |
Show Touch Points | Enabling this feature allows for all screen taps to shown with a white circle. This is a helpful feature when troubleshooting touchscreen issues. |
Key Sound | Enabling this feature allows for digital key presses to have audio beep feedback. |
Diagnostics | A set of diagnostic tests used for support purposes. |
